Aquila Cuirass is a good toughness boost for a WIZ in high GR. And a lot of parties prefer it over other choices.
Still , I beleive, other options can be good also. One of them is SoJ.
Shifting the balance in damage from trash to elites results in white mobs providing globes, AD and APOC for a longer percentage of elites HP. Thus killing elites becomes easier. We can try to reach enough toughness by other ways and drop Aquila.
In leaderboars I see for GR 112 NS and other rifts in the past ZE players prefer Aquila. (seasonal players as well)
I know players in ZE have always been good in theorycrafting and optimization. This brings me here. What makes it so good? and what about SoJ ?
I would be grateful for your thoughts (wizards and not only) on this matter.
Thnx/

I'd say you answered the question yourself, it comes down to toughness versus damage. Since we're not running APDs anymore, aquila is basically necessary to survive on high tiers. This way you get reaper's wraps so you're not limited to ad-bosses (or pylons in some cases) and have the toughness from aquila

Thank you
Yes, I was thinking of limiting to pylons . And getting the toughness through paragon vit or armour gems, maybe also some additional party buffs . Some ads later ( after BoS stacking) would also be nice.
